Late Cancellation Policy

Late Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy

At Edward Byrne, it is our aim to provide quality dental care to our patients and to use clinical time effectively. As such, we will require a deposit when you book most appointments.

24 Hours Notice Cancellation

If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to change it if you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to schedule in a patient who may be in urgent need of our care. Cancellations should be made by telephone on 0123 4352 372 or by emailing us at [email protected]

Less than 24 hours’ Notice Cancellation/Missed appointment

Failure to provide us with 24 hours’ notice will result in a late cancellation or missed appointment fee. The fee is based on the length of the appointment in line with our deposit structure.

For appointments shorter than 30 minutes that do not require a deposit, a £50 late cancellation or missed appointment fee would still apply to your account and this charge would need to be cleared and also a £50 deposit taken, in order to rebook your appointment.

Our policy ensures that dental appointments are not wasted, and time is spent to help our patients throughout the day. A missed appointment means that our dentist is unable to see other patients for their dental care.

By registering at the practice as a private patient, you are agreeing to follow this policy.

Any appeals regarding missed or cancelled appointments will be looked at by the Dentist and Practice Owner.
