A Soft Bite Splint is the simplest type of Bite Splint and quick to get used to.
It will protect teeth against the wear of bruxism
By lowering the lower jaw a couple of mm's it will also ease pressure within the jaw joint (T.M.J.)

This hard acrylic appliance will take slightly longer to get used to. It is more effective in treating problems caused when the jaw is deviated to one side or from it's natural position.
